Roadtrip 2019 Fall: Vancouver - Richland - Twin Falls - Provo - Kanab - Yucca Valley - Paso Robles - Sacramento - Brookings - Yachats - Cannon Beach - Vancouver

Day 14 - Kanab: Cottonwood Trail

This happened last year, too.  When the Black Helicopters can't find us for a while, they start enlisting other federal resources, like SAR for the purpose.  This SAR helicopter hovered over our place for several minutes.  We hid inside.  Maybe they didn't spot us.

Finally a vast view – just for Grant.

Russ finds his way through the very "Sedona like" landscapes.

There are many wash crossings on the trail.

Ellie decodes the fork.

First area sighting of some small barrel cacti.

This hanging valley sports a tiny swamp, complete with grasslands.

This is the most diverse array of flora we've seen on any trail to date.

Summit snacks!

Are there any more summit snacks?

This trail is more like Sedona than Sedona.

Sleeping bunny.
